Two wounded in early-morning shooting at Anderson County Airbnb party

Two people were injured in a shooting during a party at an Airbnb in Anderson County early Saturday morning, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers said they responded to reports of gunfire around 1:27 a.m. on Lover’s Leap Road, where an estimated 50 to 75 Kentucky State University students had gathered. Investigators say a large fight broke out during the event, and at some point, a gun was fired.

Both victims suffered gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening. They were taken to Frankfort Regional Hospital for treatment.

Detectives reported difficulty obtaining suspect details due to a lack of cooperation from party attendees. The case remains under investigation as authorities continue processing evidence.
