W.Va. International Yeager Airport Given All Clear After Reported Bomb Threat

Operations at West Virginia International Yeager Airport have returned to normal following a reported bomb threat, officials confirmed.

Metro 911 reported the threat shortly before 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, authorities requested the bomb squad, which responded along with several other agencies to investigate the situation.

Deputies said Airport Road at Keystone Drive was closed during the investigation to allow the bomb squad to operate safely. The road has since reopened.

This marked the second reported bomb threat at the airport within a one-month period, following a similar incident reported on New Year’s Eve.
