W.Va. man accused of exploiting children with hidden cameras and AI

A West Virginia man is facing felony charges after deputies say he secretly recorded children changing clothes and used artificial intelligence to create sexually explicit videos.

Caleb Daniel Bourgeois, 36, of Cottageville, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a social media post from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Bourgeois, an active member of the Jackson County Junior Fair Board, allegedly placed a hidden camera inside a camper at last year’s fair and filmed unsuspecting children while they changed clothes.

Investigators allege Bourgeois then used the images to generate AI-created videos depicting the children changing clothes.
