Stolen Vehicle Pursuit in L.A. Ends in Violent Rollover Crash; 3 Hospitalized

Three suspects were hospitalized after a dangerous police pursuit involving an allegedly stolen pickup truck ended in a violent rollover crash in Pacoima on Thursday night.

Details remain limited, and authorities have not confirmed when or where officers with the Los Angeles Police Department initially began the pursuit. At some point, the driver led police onto the 5 Freeway.

Sky5 captured aerial footage of the aftermath at the bottom of the Van Nuys Boulevard off-ramp, where the pickup truck had overturned following the single-vehicle crash.

Officers, some with their guns drawn, surrounded the heavily damaged truck and took the three occupants—two men and one woman—into custody. Video from the scene showed all three suspects appearing unsteady on their feet, with at least two struggling to walk as officers placed them in handcuffs before paramedics arrived.

Personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department transported all three suspects to local hospitals. A 31-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were listed in serious condition, while a 38-year-old man was reported to be in fair condition.

Authorities confirmed that no officers, motorists, or civilians were injured during the incident.
