Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects believed to be involved in an arson attack at a strip mall in Paramount, California.
According to authorities, the fire occurred early on the morning of Feb. 24 in the 7900 block of Alondra Boulevard. Detectives say the two men allegedly smashed a window at a business, entered the property and poured a flammable substance inside before igniting the fire.
Officials noted that the targeted business has experienced similar incidents before, marking the third time it has reportedly been hit by an arson attack.
Investigators released images of the suspected individuals in hopes that members of the public can help identify them.
Anyone with information about the suspects or the fire is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department’s Arson/Explosives Detail. Authorities said tips can also be submitted anonymously through LA Crime Stoppers.
The specialized Arson/Explosives Detail includes investigators trained as certified bomb technicians and arson specialists who handle cases involving suspicious fires and explosive-related incidents.
The investigation remains ongoing.
