Another round of winter weather leads to W.Va. school closures, delays for Wednesday

Another blast of winter weather has led to school closures and delays across several West Virginia school systems.

The West Virginia Department of Education reported that the following counties will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 4 (as of 10 p.m. Tuesday):

  • Braxton

  • Cabell

  • Calhoun

  • Clay

  • Gilmer

  • Hancock

  • Jackson

  • Lincoln

  • Mason

  • Nicholas

  • Putnam

  • Randolph

  • Roane

  • Wayne

  • Webster

  • Wirt

The Board of Education also announced that the following counties will operate on delays Wednesday (as of 10 p.m. Tuesday):

  • Barbour

  • Fayette

  • Greenbrier

  • Logan

  • McDowell

  • Mercer

  • Monroe

  • Pendleton

  • Pocahontas

  • Raleigh

  • Summers

  • Tucker

  • Wyoming

Kanawha County will observe a non-traditional learning day.
