“Ketamine Queen” Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison in Connection With Matthew Perry’s Death

A Los Angeles woman dubbed the “Ketamine Queen” has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for her role in supplying drugs linked to the 2023 death of actor Matthew Perry.

Drug Dealer Sentenced in High-Profile Case

Jasveen Sangha, 42, of North Hollywood, received the sentence Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to multiple federal drug charges, including distribution of ketamine resulting in death.

Prosecutors said Sangha operated a large-scale drug trafficking operation, catering to high-profile clients in Hollywood while knowingly disregarding the risks associated with the substances she distributed.

Admitted Role in Actor’s Death

As part of her guilty plea, Sangha admitted to supplying the ketamine that caused Perry’s death. She also acknowledged coordinating drug transactions and instructing associates to delete incriminating messages to conceal the operation.

Sangha, a dual U.S.-U.K. citizen, has been in federal custody since August 2024.

Matthew Perry’s Death Ruled Accidental

Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit TV show Friends, was found dead on October 28, 2023, at his home in Pacific Palisades.

An autopsy determined the cause of death to be acute effects of ketamine, with contributing factors including drowning and underlying health conditions. The death was officially ruled accidental.

Other Defendants Sentenced

Sangha is the third individual sentenced in connection with the case:

  • Salvador Plasencia, a former physician, received 30 months in prison for illegally distributing ketamine
  • Mark Chavez, another doctor, was sentenced to three years of supervised release, including eight months of home confinement and community service

Additional Sentencings Pending

Two more individuals are awaiting sentencing later this month:

  • Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s former assistant, who admitted to injecting ketamine, including the doses that led to Perry’s death
  • Erik Fleming, accused of acting as a middleman in the drug distribution network

Both face significant federal prison time if convicted.
