Man charged with organized retail theft in boom lift case

Jeremy Cyle-Henry Coble, 33, is facing a felony charge following an investigation into the alleged theft of a boom lift tied to a reported repossession in Lowell.

According to court records, Lowell Police responded on May 28, 2025, to Tri-Creek Rentals regarding a reported theft involving a 2022 JLG T350 35-foot boom lift valued at approximately $10,000.

Court documents said the business owner reported purchasing the boom lift earlier in April through a Facebook Marketplace listing and then renting it out through Tri-Creek Rentals. On May 27, 2025, an unknown man reportedly arrived at the rental business claiming to be a “repo man” and stated the boom lift had been reported stolen by Home Depot in Michigan.

Later that evening, the business owner learned that a towing company had gone to the customer’s residence and repossessed the boom lift, providing paperwork labeled as an “Order to Repossess.”

According to the probable cause affidavit, investigators later confirmed Home Depot was the titled owner of the boom lift and that the equipment had been reported stolen in Taylor, Michigan, earlier in May. Police said the boom lift was located using a GPS tracking unit installed on the equipment and was recovered and returned to Home Depot.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed photographs, vehicle information, Facebook records, and communications connected to the sale of the boom lift. Court records said a photo lineup was conducted, and the business owner positively identified Jeremy Cyle-Henry Coble as the person involved in the transaction.

Coble was lodged in the Lake County Jail on January 7, 2026.

Charge filed June 25, 2025:
