Detectives are investigating after a man’s body was discovered Monday night underneath a trailer behind a former grocery store in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood.
According to Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, officers from the Violent Crime unit responded around 8:30 p.m. to the area of Amanda Street and Wynoka Street.
Public Safety officials said the man was found underneath a trailer parked at a loading dock behind the former Shop ’n Save on Brownsville Road, which closed last month. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released details about the circumstances surrounding the death. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The man’s identity has not been made public.
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
