An overturned cement truck early Tuesday morning forced the closure of multiple lanes on the northbound Interstate 110 in Gardena.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert at El Segundo Boulevard, with only the FasTrak lane remaining open to traffic. Authorities said all main lanes will remain closed until further notice.
Cement from the truck was spread across several lanes as officers investigated the crash and cleanup crews worked to clear the roadway.
The truck’s driver was transported to a local hospital. Officials have not released information about the driver’s condition.
Commuters are being advised to expect significant delays. Suggested alternate routes include the northbound Interstate 710 or the northbound Interstate 405.
