Pacman Jones Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Officer in Northern Kentucky Case

Former Adam Jones, known as “Pacman,” faces prison time after pleading guilty to charges related to his arrest last year in Northern Kentucky.

Jones, who previously played for the Cincinnati Bengals, was arrested in June 2025 after officers with the Covington Police Department responded to a disturbance at The Second Story Bar in Covington.

According to police, bar employees said Jones refused to set down a glass of wine as he was leaving and allegedly struck an employee in the throat when the worker intervened.

Authorities also said that while being transported to the Kenton County Detention Center, Jones pushed back against an officer, causing a minor injury when the officer was elbowed in the lip.

Rob Sanders, the Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney, said Jones pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge as well as several misdemeanor charges, which will run concurrently.

Prosecutors recommended a sentence of 18 months.
