Authorities are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a Kankakee County bar on Monday afternoon.
According to police, sheriff’s deputies responded just before noon to a bar in rural Momence, near the Illinois-Indiana state line along Illinois Route 14, following a report of a deceased person.
The woman was identified as 30-year-old Courtney Drysdale of Momence. She was found inside the bar and pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said evidence collected during the preliminary investigation led them to rule her death a homicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
