A man and a woman were injured in a shooting Thursday evening on Chicago’s West Side, according to police.
The incident occurred shortly before 6:15 p.m. in the 5700 block of West Madison Street in the Austin neighborhood. Investigators said a 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were standing in a parking lot when an unknown suspect opened fire.
Police said the man was shot in the right leg, while the woman was hit in the buttocks and right leg. Both victims were transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital and are listed in fair condition.
No arrests have been made, and Area Four detectives are continuing the investigation. No additional details were released.
