Multiple crashes on Highway 50 in the Folsom area during Thursday evening’s commute left several people injured, authorities reported.
The California Highway Patrol responded to incidents along Highway 50 between E. Bidwell Street and Folsom Boulevard from roughly 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Officials said one three-vehicle crash on westbound Highway 50 near E. Bidwell Street caused some people to complain of pain. Another three-vehicle crash resulted in major injuries, with two of the vehicles rolling over.
A separate solo-vehicle rollover also occurred in the area, though it is unknown if anyone was hurt in that crash.
All vehicles have since been cleared from the nearly four-mile stretch of highway, which had been reduced to one lane due to the accidents.
